Why Homeowners Choose Us

A roof is a system of parts, and the covering on top is only one of them. We explain each part, what it does and what it costs before you sign anything.

Materials compared side by side

Architectural asphalt shingles, standing seam metal and concrete tile each trade weight, wind resistance, lifespan and price differently. We lay those trade-offs out for your roof's pitch and framing, so the choice is yours and you know why you made it.

Parts picked for coastal exposure

Salt air corrodes plain steel nails, drip edge and flashing long before the roof covering wears out. We specify corrosion-resistant fasteners and flashing that suit the panels or shingles going on, because mixing incompatible metals causes galvanic corrosion at the contact points.

Photos of what we find

You get pictures of lifted shingle tabs, cracked pipe boots, rusted flashing or soft decking, with a plain note on what each one means. If something can wait, we tell you that too.

An honest repair-or-replace answer

A roof with a few failed boots and sound decking needs a repair, not a new roof. When the granules are gone, the mat is brittle and leaks keep returning, we explain why another patch would be money spent twice.

Storm claims handled alongside your adjuster

When you have a storm claim open, we deal with your insurance adjuster directly and hand over roof measurements and damage photos. Coverage decisions stay with the insurer, but the evidence on your roof gets recorded clearly and completely.

Roofing Services for Your Home

We handle roof replacement, roof repair, roof inspections, storm damage repair, gutters and metal roofing. Every job starts the same way: a technician on your roof and in your attic, looking at the shingles or panels, the flashing, the underlayment and the decking underneath. What we find decides the recommendation, and any suggestion of shingle, metal or tile comes with the reasons behind it.

  • Drone view of a roofing crew tearing off shingles on a single-story stucco home, with a debris trailer in the driveway beside neighboring metal and tile roofs

    Roof Replacement

A full strip-off to the deck, new underlayment and flashing, and a shingle, metal or tile roof picked for how it handles salt air, sun and wind.

  • Roofer in a gray sweatshirt and jeans kneeling on a gray asphalt shingle roof, hammering new shingles beside a black pipe boot above a white gutter

    Roof Repair

Leaks, lifted shingles, cracked tile and loose metal fasteners repaired with parts that match what is already on your roof.

  • Roofer in a harness and tool belt checks shingles and roof vents with a clipboard at the eave while a homeowner watches from the front yard of a stucco home

    Roof Inspections

A part-by-part check of your shingle, tile or metal roof and attic, with photos and a plain account of what each finding means.

  • Roofer in a harness and tool belt replacing missing asphalt shingles near a valley beside a blue tarp held down with wood strips, with a ladder at the gutter

    Storm Damage Repair

Wind and debris damage found, photographed and repaired with parts that match your roof's material, plus direct work with your insurance adjuster.

  • Over-the-shoulder view of a worker in a cap driving a screw into a white aluminum gutter on a stucco Florida home, with a downspout and ladder nearby

    Gutters

Aluminum, copper and steel gutters formed in continuous runs, sized to your roof's drainage area and fastened with hardware that holds up to salt air.

  • Over-the-shoulder view of a gloved roofer driving a screw into a gutter hanger at the edge of a metal roof, with a ladder, lawn, garage and dump trailer below

    Metal Roofing

Standing seam and 5V crimp metal roofs in Galvalume steel or aluminum, with the panel, gauge and finish chosen for how close your home sits to the ocean.

How a Roofing Job Runs

The steps are the same whether you need a single pipe boot or a full replacement. Only the size of the work changes.

  1. 1

    Book a technician visit

Get your quote by phone. We set a time for a technician to come out to your home.

  2. 2

    Roof and attic inspection

We walk the roof, check flashing and penetrations, probe for soft decking and look at the underside of the sheathing from the attic for stains and daylight. You get photos of anything that matters.

  3. 3

    Options and a written estimate

We go over repair versus replacement and, for a new roof, how shingle, metal and tile compare on your house. The estimate lists each item so nothing shows up later as a surprise.

  4. 4

    Permit and installation

We pull the permit, cover landscaping and protect the driveway, then strip, repair decking, install underlayment, flashing and the new covering. A magnetic sweep picks up nails at the end of each day.

  5. 5

    Final inspection and walk-through

After the building inspection passes, we walk the finished roof with you and point out what we installed, from the drip edge to the ridge vent.

Where We Work

We serve homes in Neptune Beach and nearby Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Palm Valley, Sawgrass and Nocatee. Houses closer to the water see more salt exposure on fasteners and flashing, while homes further inland deal more with heat and afternoon storms, and we pick fasteners and coverings with that in mind.

What Moves the Price of a Roof

Roof prices vary widely, even between houses of similar size. The covering you pick matters, but the decking underneath and the detail work around every penetration often shift the total just as much. These are the items we weigh when we write your estimate.

Estimates cost you nothing and carry no obligation, and a technician writes yours item by item after seeing both the roof and the attic. When paying in one lump sum doesn't fit your budget, we can talk through financing.

Roof size and pitch
Price follows the number of roofing squares, and steeper pitches need more safety setup and slower work. Cut-up roofs with many hips and valleys use more product and more labor than a simple gable.
Material choice
Asphalt shingles cost the least to install. Standing seam metal and concrete tile cost more up front but last longer and handle wind differently, and tile's weight can mean checking the framing first.
Decking condition
Soft or delaminated plywood can't hold fasteners properly and has to be replaced by the sheet. We can't always see it until tear-off, so the estimate lists a per-sheet figure for rotted decking ahead of time.
Tear-off layers
A roof with an old layer under the current one takes longer to strip and haul away. We check the layer count at the edge before we quote.
Flashing, vents and penetrations
Chimneys, skylights, valleys, plumbing vents and wall transitions each need their own flashing work. More penetrations mean more detail and more time.
Permits and code items
Replacements require a building permit and inspection under the Florida Building Code, which also sets underlayment and fastening requirements for wind. Those items are part of the price, not extras.

A Roofing Company That Explains the Choice

We are Roofing Neptune Beach, and most of our day is spent on residential roofs: replacing worn shingle roofs, repairing leaks at flashing and vents, installing metal and putting up gutters that actually carry water off your home. We think homeowners make better roofing decisions when they understand what goes on the roof and why, so explaining it is part of every visit.

That means naming parts. If water is getting in, we tell you whether it is a cracked neoprene pipe boot, a lifted step flashing or a nail that backed out of the decking, and why it failed. If you are choosing a new roof, we compare weight, wind performance, maintenance and cost of ownership, and we are honest when the least expensive option is the right one.

A free estimate from us is a real look at your roof, not a pitch. If the honest answer is that your roof has good years left and needs nothing more than a new pipe boot, that is the answer you will hear.

Roofing Questions We Hear Often

Something not covered here? (904) 406-7271

How do I know if my roof needs a fix or a full replacement?

The shingles and the decking tell us. When the shingles still lie flat with their granules intact and the leak traces back to one boot or one piece of flashing, a targeted fix makes sense. Brittle or curling shingles, bare patches across whole slopes, or leaks that keep showing up in new places usually mean a new roof will cost less over the long run. Either way, you see the photos that back up our answer.

Which roofing material is best for a home near the coast?

There is no single answer. Architectural shingles are the most affordable and perform well with proper wind-rated installation. Standing seam metal sheds water fast and resists wind uplift, but the panel metal and fasteners must suit salt exposure. Concrete tile lasts a long time but is heavy, so the framing has to carry it.

Will my insurance cover storm damage?

Coverage depends on your policy and the adjuster's findings, not on us. What we can do is give you a free post-storm inspection, document the damage with photos and measurements, and work with your adjuster on the claim. We will tell you honestly if what we see looks like wear rather than storm damage.

Do you offer a guarantee on new roofs?

Yes. Every new roof installation we complete is backed by a no-leak guarantee. When you sit down with your estimate, have us walk through what that guarantee covers on your specific roof.

Is a metal roof loud when it rains?

Not when it is installed over solid decking with underlayment, which is how we install it. The sheathing and attic insulation absorb most of the sound. The loud metal roofs people remember are usually panels fastened to open purlins on barns and sheds.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, financing is available. Bring it up when you phone us, and we can cover it in the same conversation where we go over your estimate.

Do I need to be home during the work?

You need to be reachable, but not necessarily home. We ask that cars be out of the driveway and pets kept inside during tear-off, since nails and debris come down. We will walk the finished roof with you afterward.
